wow, those are some obscure Devo tracks! where do they come from, are they post-Freedom Of Choice commercial wilderness period? what do they sound like?
as to what I've been listening to, well, I just turned off our cover of LSD by the Pretty Things cos it came on automatically as you passed through our myspace page, and I've heard it quite a few times now! I've actually just been listening to Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers, and their songs I'm Straight, Dignified & Old, Astral Plane, Girlfriend and Pablo Picasso. He is fantastic, so polite, so tragic, so noble! Also their song Roadrunner, but then I've heard that enough times now, too.

They sure are and you might not believe this but they are among the top 5 Devo album songs in my opinion, if not better! Yes, they are from the album Shout (1984). An album you can't afford to not have if you like Devo or simply good music. I can describe them as sounding not like Devo but still like Devo at the same time. Confusing I know. Try as I have I could not find the album on mp3 at all. I could send you a mix-tape of it if you like.
Roadrunner is a classic hehe.

At the time being it's the album Marquee Moon by Television. Not anything like the early 70s New York punk scene you're used to. Having that said it's fantastic.

Hey Velvet, about that DJ set I did - my playlist was geared toward funk, soul and hip-hop cos it was that sort of night. I didn't succeed at keeping a list cos I was too nervous (never did it before, no idea what I was doing). But I did play the following, amongst others: Buffalo Stance - Neneh Cherry Welcome To The Terrordome - Public enemy Give It To Me Baby - Rick James Do You Wanna Funk? - Sylvester Upside Down - Diana Ross Atomic Dog - George Clinton One Nation Under a Groove - Funkadelic Papa's Got A Brand New Bag + Bring It Up - James Brown Do You Love Me - The Contours Head - Prince

Oh great you recalled some of the tunes. Pretty sure Timmy Loud was taking the piss out of me with that mumbo jumbo list of his. Nevertheless it will be exiting to track down those songs.
Hold on just a minute. [Some brain activity later] Neneh Cherry is Swedish!
