Let's get this straight once and for all. The album is due this fall, right? But I heard folks that attended the Roller Disco got copies of their own! Plus apparently it's available for order at HMV.co.uk, what the f**k is going on?

what's going on: we are no longer on Mute Records. But we still have our album, and Mute gave us 1000 promo copies of it they'd printed which we are now selling at live shows cos it was completed a year and a half ago and we just want to get the tracks out there! Elements of it feel a wee bit dated now for us and when it finally gets released on another label it'll probably be 30% new material - so all these promo copies Mute gave us will be useless! it seems better just to sell 'em now as a live memento... but if you want to buy one over the power of the postal service, velvet, I'm sure we can do that for you!x

I had no idea! I was wondering why it took such time. Now I know. I take you up on that offer. As I see it the more Pink Grease the better. Good luck in your search for a new record label.

I've been checking for updates on a release date continually these last few months, and I've seen June 18th listed on a couple of online stores. Any truth to that date? Or are you still not on a label? If not, good luck searching for a new label!
Not to be rude, but if there's any way I'd be able to buy a promo copy of the album, please let me know, Rory! I'm dying to hear it! If you still have any left, that is?

how can you talk of leaving when you’re mute? 14th June 2007. Not an especially significant sounding date. And a Thursday at that. Things like this don’t happen on a Thursday. It’s nearly always a Monday. But then, when you’ve been in love with Pink Grease, nothing ever seems to happen as it should. Or as you expect. But then, maybe that is as it should be, after all.
You can’t shock a mechanical heart. But you can probably break it. Right now mine is fluttering like a box of wound up birds. Here it is, in my hands. Like a dream, or like porno – if nature had intended me to see this sort of thing, I’d’ve been given eyes in other places. Still, it does no harm to imagine what the might have been like. After all, what the f**k am I hearing? It sure as hell isn’t natural.
Synthetic and released or, rather, let go by the boffins that know nothing. A stealth operation, cooked up on a torn beermat with a blunt eyeliner pencil. Modus operandi: look like you own the place, no one will ask you why you’re leaving. Or why you’ve been asked to leave. Bastards. No, wait a minute. We’re the bastards. A slippery bullet. A slick stiletto comb. Primped and preened and falling over and pretending it’s dancing. Sleek and shiny, like a miraculous mirror that only reflects the bits we like. d**n! We look good!
Just one gentle push and we’re moving. Slicking up the streets with sweat and spittle and salty tears from various ducts. Make up sliding – more like make down – making me a new face. A better one. One that never looks confused or hurt and only cries for love. Clothes so sharp and so tight we gotta stand up straight – slouch and we’ll be cut in at least two.
Forty focussed minutes is all it takes before distraction comes creeping up on me. Basslines rising up inside like little bubbles of laughter, exploding on the surface where our mouths meet. The air between us vibrates. I can almost see it. Your voice, hot breath on my neck. Handclaps more like face slaps – come on now, wake up! Wake up! I did wake up and found I was dreaming.
Looking back now, we’ve come so far, I can’t even see where we started. I can’t even see the carlights. We must be miles away from anywhere by now. Although we could keep going. What do you think? Oh, yeah, I forgot

Er... In case yr wondering, I wrote that while listening to Mechanical Heart! If it sounds mad, it's because that's how it made me feel! I just wanted to let someone, anyone, know how happy I am to finally have Mechanical Heart in my hands and in my head! Thanks Pink Grease and thanks Sheffield Vision! No thanks to Mute! Boo! *smile*

How could we not? hehe. It's one heck of an album and I am nothing but eager to purchase/listen to the real album with what I have been told as to contain new material. Dunno about your particular experiences but mine is of one that I get abstinence if I don't listen to it for a day. Now that's what characterizes a focking excellent record.

Just want to say how much I love the promo version of the album - easily my favourite of the year - it deserves a larger audience, so any news on the release on a new label?
